As humans we don't look at the specifics of how we impact the earth, but when we do, we can predict how our impact to the earth can have an effect.

Noticeable things in our community
After looking around outside everyday and actually noticing how much cars are being driven each day I was curious to see how much pollution are we causing everyday as a community in Grandville. I became interested in this because of all the climate changes that have been fluctuating causing an impact on the world. Also, while observing Grandville, I noticed all the empty side walks, yeah it is winter and it's not logical to ride a bike in the winter, but even in the summer and spring I never see as much people riding bikes as oppose to a car.

Fun Mathematics
Let's take this, for say, according to census in 2011, the population in Grandville is 15,527. Now let's say people drive about 30 miles a day and each mile is aprox 1lb of Co2. (1lb x 30) = 30lb x 15,527= 465,810lb Co2/day. Now imagine that in a year. I still can't believe how much Co2 we are polluting into the earth, that is just Grandville alone. How is our earth able to keep up with so much Co2 being emitted? It's not, that's why we have to do something about it.

Proposal
As my project I want see how much of a difference I can make by not driving or by riding my bike every weekend, just 2 days of the week to see how much Co2 is being saved from being emitted for a period of 1 month. I want to do this because I want to educate myself, not just by knowing statistical and numeric information of how much of an impact I can make, but to increase my awareness in where our earth is heading if we are to continue this.
